Patricia Mellor, Founder
Pat established ECA, with her husband George, to shake up the energy industry. Since George’s untimely death in 1994 and the further growth of the business, Pat became Chairperson, a post she has held for 22 years.
She now enjoys travelling the world in her semi-retirement, and has completed many property renovations and restoration projects. Pat continues to shape ECA’s future in her role as Board Director.
Stephen Mellor, Chairman
Stephen joined the family business from university in 1989 as National Accounts Director and became Managing Director in 1994. Since then he has steered the company through the ever more complicated and competitive world of energy consultants and the energy industry.
Away from the office, he’s busy with his family, supporting Sheffield Wednesday and playing football. He also recently completed his debut novel, “From Where We Threw Dogs”.
Steve Silverwood, Managing Director
Steve joined ECA in 2003 as a Senior Manager for the Client Team, after many years within corporate animals such as American Express, Thomas Cook, and HSBC. He joined the Board Of Directors in 2008 as a reflection of his skills and dedication to the customer experience. Steve became Managing Director in January 2016.
Away from the office, Steve runs, supports Barnsley FC, and has two sons.
Carl Britton, Head of Energy Services
Carl started his career with a 5-year Aston Martin apprenticeship. In 2009, he formed his own smart metering company. In 2015, he moved to ECA as an Operations Director and became Head of Energy Services in 2017.
At home, he is a Spurs fan with a passion for motor sport. He also spends time with his family, including taking his two sons to football matches.
Craig Wilkins, Head of Internal Services and Sales
Craig joined ECA as HR Manager in 2010 after working for businesses including Irwin Mitchell, Maplin, and EVO Group. He was then promoted to Internal Services Manager before becoming part of the Senior Management Team as Head of Internal Services and Sales.
His family, including two daughters, take up much of his spare time away from the office. He also plays football and cricket, and supports Spurs.
Fraser Mcgown, Head of Client Services
Fraser joined ECA as part of the administration team over 20 years ago. He’s progressed through the ranks and handled major accounts such as Ikea, Harrods, and the British Heart Foundation. He’s now Head of Client Services, responsible for a team of more than 20 people delivering quality service to our clients.
He spends his spare time with his family and supports Sheffield United.
